Market Days CIC was incorporated in November 2020 as a community interest company which means that all profits and assets from the company will be used for the public good and there are no shareholders in the company.

As an historic market town, Newport’s heritage is built on its strategic relevance as a centre for trade. it boasts two large public squares that were both used for regular markets, and wide Georgian streets lined with grand town houses where merchants would have stayed while doing business. The opportunity exists to bring back markets to Newport.
